The updated CFU provides detailed information on CPC design requirements for piping and system corrosion, protective coatings, underground or submerged structures or systems, and a variety of systems and components. These CFU changes resulted in 31 updates to the Unified Facilities Guide specifications, including a revised list of specifications for concrete, carpentry, roofs and other construction categories. Under the new UFC guidelines, those responsible for designing and building DoD facilities will be required to identify and use CPC-related materials, systems, components and coatings. It also helps engineers and architects determine ESC factors such as material choice and design requirements for corrosion-prone sites. As a member of the Interagency Support Division, he oversees the development, adoption, approval, publication and implementation of California building codes. The new CPC requirements were developed and led by the DoD Corrosion Policy and Oversight Office, and the UFC system is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, and the Air Force Civil Engineer Center. The new corrosion protection requirements are described in Chapters 3 to 6.6 and Appendix B of the UFC. The updated CPC requirements for the various CPC requirements and ESC zones can be found on the Whole Building Design Guide website. The California Building Standards Code is a compilation of three types of building standards from three different origins: UFC 1-200-01 represents the foundational document of the UFC program by providing general construction requirements and general criteria, establishing the use of consensual building codes and standards, establishing rules and protocols for the implementation of the criteria (including the ufc core), and identifying unique military criteria. In accordance with the authority of the MIL-STD-3007 standard, the UFC is prepared by DoD committees called the Discipline Working Group (DWG) and published by the military services under the supervision of the Engineering Senior Executive Panel (ESEP), which includes: Errata – Part 1 (non-content corrections) As of January 1, 2020, the following active links will take you to each publisher`s website.
